High Water

It’s rained almost every day for the last few months at my house.   In my part of Texas, we’re normally in a drought this time of year.

Highwater-Marina

This is the access ramp to the marina where I keep my sailboat.   The water level is currently two inches from the top of the concrete landing.   Normally the first float you see is sitting on the dry ground and the walkway slopes down to the water. (The picture was emailed to me by the marina manager.)

We’ve had so much rain the the four foot deep fish pond in my back filled up by itself.  We had drained it for cleaning and a little remodeling, but it won’t stay empty.

I’m going to be home for a few days next week, hopefully it will dry out enough to complete Monkey’s half finished playhouse.

Maybe I’ll buy that lottery ticket while I’m at it.
