Book Meme – Honor tagging

From Roberta:

Meme rules:

  1. Pick up the nearest book of 123 pages or more. No cheating!
  2. Find page 123.
  3. Find the first five sentences.
  4. Post the next three sentences.
  5. Tag five people.

Okay, the next five bloggers who read this? Consider yourself tagged. Honor system. Leave a reply (with link or URL) to keep count.

Since we’re on teh honor system I’ll play fair.

I only have one dead tree book in the hotel room so I’ll go with that.

Kyu said, “We must not develop an adversarial relationship with the Moon Born Children.”

“So what relationship do we want?” Liren snapped. “We must be in control of this project.”

From “Building Harlequin’s Moon” by Brenda Cooper and Larry Niven.

I picked it up at DFW airport to read on the plane. All I was looking for was words in a row to read while in electronic time out, and it has those, but I suspect Mr. Niven of lending his name to someone else’s work since it doesn’t read like a Niven book at all.

And if you’re one of the few people who read this and also blog, consider your self honor tagged. Leave a reply (with link or URL) to keep count. Next five. No cheating, you’re on the honor system.
