Ok, here is something I don’t understand. Obama was born in 1961. Hawaii became a state in 1959. Why would he show a certificate of birth abroad?? My son has one because he was born in Germany while I was stationed there. If Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961 than he should have a normal state birth certificate./
All I know is there were a lot of people looking for an example of a certificate from Hawaii. I had one from around that time, so I posted it.
The certificate from Daily Kos shows the city of birth as Honolulu. His bio on Wikipedia lists his birthplace as Honolulu, Hawaii, so I’m not sure where the abroad part comes in.
What is really needed is a birth certificate from Hawaii in the 60’s where one of the parents is African-American. Obama’s father is listed as “African”. Was this how A-A’s were referred to in 1961? It is argued on the net that he may actually be Arab.
The reason people say Obama is Arab because his dad’s family was Arab so only 6.5% African passed from the dad to Obama and 43.5% Arab. Obama is not “legally” African according to federal rules.
The fathers race was NOT AFRICAN, that was his NATIONALITY. The Mothers is listed correctly as caucasian meaning white AND NOT AS AMERICAN.
However back in 1961 African Americans or black people’s race was always identified as
Negro.
Black and Afro American came after the Civil Right laws were passed.
This man Obama thinks the American people are stupid, and tht they will believe anything he tells them, they have done so up to now, that is how he got were he is.

Obama has a certificate for his birth in Hawaii in 1961 and a genuine copy of it is on several websites. The Health Department in Hawaii is not permitted by law to confirm any details of any birth unless special circumstances exist, but they have NO obligation under the law to reveal information about people who were NOT born in Hawaii. In this case they have said they need permission from Obama to release details of his birth – which means only one thing – they HAVE those details. If Obama had been born in Kenya or on Gilligan’s Island they wouldn’t have the details.

No, Obama’s ancestors on his father’s side in recent centuries are all from Kenyan tribes. It was HIS Kenyan people who in 1952 sent out drum messages all over Kenya and beyond, that King George VI had died in England. I doubt if it would bother Obama. I think it would be fair to say that because of his background – being brought up as White by a mother with extraordinarily tolerant values, AND living in a very multi-cultural society like Hawaii AND living in Indonsia AND learning about Islam to a small extent after being in a Catholic school until he moved house and found an Islamic school nearer, he would have a much greater understanding of all these tags than the rest of us. After reading a lot of the emails on Hawaii Birth Certificates and trying to understand why we can’t see the original BHO birth certificate of somebody wanting to become leader of the USA (The greatest and most powerful country ever), it seems to me that the position he is running for should be reason enough for Hawaii to release the documents to the American public with or without his permission.
Guess what. My birth certificate from NY looks just like this one. The one that was forged by the blogger looked totally fake compared to what a real one looks like.

On Factcheck.org they state that Hawaii does not issue long forms and that is why Obama only has a short form…However, we clearly see here, that isnt the case. Your BC looks just like mine. I was born in the same hospital and lived in the same town as you, not in 1963 but in 1966. I believe mine is a certified copy from the early 1980s. I also have another copy from the early 90s which looks the same.

Didn’t believe this at first, but after doing some research and seeing various birth certificates from Hawaii including this one which is identical to the 1961 version, I am wondering why Obama’s site decided to forge his BC and put it on line. By the way, African or Africa is not a race and never was put on BCs – the term African American generally came into use in the 1980’s. I am not sure if that term is even used on BC’s today. First of all its NOT his birth certificate or even a certified copy of his birth certificate. Its an official certification of Obama’s birth in Hawaii by the person in charge in Hawaii. Its printed on Laser paper which means its new, not from the 1960’s. It simply states that Obama was born in Hawaii according to whoever printed out the form. Its a certification, not a Certificate of Live Birth — totally different.
That particular form is not even good as a form of ID if you don’t have a passport on a cruiseship or are going to Mexico. The reason is that you can actually request a state to correct your BC with a AFFIDAVIT AND CERTIFICATE OF CORRECTION and they will type all the info in that you fill out on that form, without ever even looking at your Certificate of Live Birth. So what you have on record is the amended version, and unless you actually see the Certificate of Live Birth you would never know that there was a difference or even a certificate at all. The issuer of the short form, which you are displaying, is simply printing out whatever has been typed into the computer from the certificate of correction form.
My son has worked in vital statistics at this is what he told me. So in order for there to be a true confirmation of Sen. Obama’s Citizen status, you will need an official copy of the Certificate of Live Birth.

Now the birth certificate on this website looks like an original birth certificate.
Even though I was born in Alaska before it was a state, my original birth certificate is similar to the one posted on this site. It had the details of both parents and their birthplaces as well as their occupations and the name of the doctor who delivered me.
The birth certificate from Hawaii they show online as belonging to Obama just isn’t convincing. If all birth certificates looked like the one they claim is his, due to the many people who share similar names, how is a person to say who’s birth certificate belongs to whom?
Has anyone here ever lost his or her original Birth Certificate? My original looked like the original posted on this blog. It was lost in a move I made in 1988. I went down to the County Bureau of Birth and Death Recoeds to obtain a new copy. I had to bring a photocopy of the old one, my photo ID and Social Security Card to prove my identity before they would issue a replacement. Obama’s is a replacement. My current BC looks exaxtly like his. This stupid rumor need to stop.

This will get very interesting but it still does not answer as to why Sen. Obama will not produce a photo copy of his “Certificate of Live Birth” known to be a totally different document than the rather pitiful posting of the Certification of Live Birth that any old person can get a blank copy of with enough money and the right contacts.

As for the difference between the certificate of live birth and the certification published by Obama, I visited the State of Hawaii website and looked up these documents and their purpose. If anyone does the same and their opinion or their findings differs from mine or my interpretation, your feedback is welcome. According to what I read, the certification Obama provided is what is issued for situations such as those when a mother gives birth abroad and returns with her child to Hawaii. She then registers the birth with the Hawaiian birth and this certification is issued. Also, if you google images, using both the certificate of live birth: Hawaii or certification of birth: Hawaii, you will see that the certificates for births in Hawaii during the early 1960’s appear to substantiate this information. Also, I do doubt you could cross back into the U.S. from Mexico with the document Obama is providing. I resided in Mexico for two years and often crossed the border into California. With the requirement of the I-9 Immigration form, Obama would not be able to use his “birth certificate” for employment in the U.S.
I’ve not had a child so I never had to fill out the application for a birth certificate for a child, but i’ve done a little research. To get a birth certificate issued for a child, the parent(s) fill out an application. The parent certifies the accuracy of the information by signing a section which essentially states the information provided is accurate. (like the verification statement you sign when filling out your tax return which verifies the accuracy of the information).
If a child is born in a hospital, a hospital staff person certifies the information in one section of the application and provides the staff person’s name and the hospital where birth occured.
However, not all children are born in a hospital so this hospital certification is not required in order to issue the birth certificate.
Therefore, it is possible that the canidate’s mother delivered her son in Kenya, possibly because most airlines won’t let you fly after a certain date in your pregnancy. After, his birth in Kenya, his mother and he arrive in Hawaii. She gets the application to apply for a birth certificate and to avoid “problems” — she’s about 18 remember, she just puts down that he was born in Honololu, Hawaii. And signs the document.
She’s not a lawyer, probably can’t afford to consult with an immigration lawyer if she thought about it and she is likely not an expert on Immigration and Citizenship laws. All she wants is a birth certificate for her son and she’s a U.S. Citizen right? What’s the harm. None really until her son decides to enter politics and run for president of the United States which requires that all canidates be “natural born” citizens of the U.S. i.e. born in the U.S. or conferred that status under the Immigration and Citizenship laws at the time of birth. Naturalized citizen is one who applies for citizenship as an immigrant or if child born abroad and seeks to assert child’s right to dual citizenship (where parents of child are of different citizenships). The Constitution does not allow one who holds the status of “naturalized” citizen to qualify to run or act as president of our country.
So, what is needed is either an original (Vault) birth certificate showing the hospital, or the application which shows the hospital staff person and hospital where he was born in Hawaii, or the actual hospital records.
Otherwise, all we are relying upon is an eighteen year old girl’s assertion of where her son was born. Given the alleged statements by his paternal grandmother circulating around the web that the grandmother was at his birth in Kenya, the question is a legitimate one given the constitutional requirement that one be a born in U.S. to run and act as president of the U.S.
If he was born in Kenya, then the Immigration/Citizenship statutes govern whether she can confer “natural born” citizenship status. According to the lawsuit filed by a former Deputy Attorney General for Penn., the applicable statute in 1961 stated that for a U.S. citizen to give this status to their child born abroad at least one parent must have resided in U.S. for 10 years before the child’s birth AND the parent had to reside in U.S. for 5 of those years after age 14. His mother was 18 when he was born, not 19, so she wasn’t eligible to confer “natural born” status to her son Barack if he was indeed born abroad.
I am curious why his maternal grandparents haven’t spoken up to clarify the issue as one would think they would know where their daughter was while she was pregnant and where she was when she gave birth….unless they were not in contact with their 18 year old daughter during this time period.
I also would not just assume everything is fine and this is all just speculation if I were you. It isn’t as if politicians haven’t misrepresented themselves before. In Clayton county Georgia last summer one of the elected school board members lied about his residence during his campaign and had to step down after his election to the Board when it was confirmed he didn’t even live in the district he ran in as required by law.
If eventually it is confirmed Senator Obama was born in Kenya not Hawaii, then Joe Biden gets to be president.
The sad part is Senator Obama may not know all of this if his mother never told him what she did.

I once had to submit a vault copy of my b/c for some reason–it has somewhat different info on it than the one above. The 1963 version above is helpful, but has anyone in the McCain camp found a 1961 sample?
And BTW–the very last line on the ’63 reads:

Maybe BHO’s b/c has some important info there he doesn’t want made public. Remember, he’s a lawyer, well schooled in what to present and what not to present.
Jan’s post said it all. The same thing I’ve been saying. His mother strolled into the clerks office and her and the clerk filled out the birth registration. Remember, this was 1961 and no one was considering this baby might run for President someday.
So, Obama is now on file, and later gets entered into the database probably in the 1980’s sometime.
Then in 2007 Obama just gets a laser printer form copy of his “certificate of birth”.

Shawn: My understanding is that had Obama’s mother reached the age of 19, her citizenship followed hers as a US citizen. She was 18 when giving birth and if in Kenya, the citizenship followed his father’s who is allegedly a Kenyan citizen. If she did give birth in Hawaii, he would have been born an American citizen. However, she moved to Indonesia, married an Indonesian citizen who adopted Obama, therefore, making him an Indonesian citizen. Dual citizenship was not recognized between the US and Indonesia at that time, and at present, should be hold dual citizenship, this would have been in conflict with the US Constitution with regard to his eligibility to run for POTS. I would attribute what is alleged to possibly a “conspiracy theory” if his own campaign had not claimed he was born in Kenya and the fact that he traveled to Pakistan at a time when Americans could not travel to Pakistan. What passport did he use/was he entitled to use if not an American and remain solely an American citizen?
With regard to 50% of the citizenship chooses Obama, the fact remains that the average IQ in this country is only 100; the college “elite” are made up of students or adults with perhaps only a minimal amount of college attendance (do they have a B.A., M.A., an A.A. or a few credits?), many of who can’t seem to spell, and without the life experience in which thy have the chance to apply what they have learned in college.

I have seen a copy of his birth certificate on line, if this is a laser copy of his original birth certificate why does the lower left corner have a revision date of 11/01. And does not even come close to the one above which looks like my birth certificate which is from California 1963.

I was looking at my birth certificate from Oklahoma 1965 and it looks very much like the one posted here. One thing missing clearly is the signatures of the parent and Doctor or who ever attended the birth and the signature of the registrar. That copy on his website doesn’t look like any birth certificate I have ever seen and I would not accept it as proof of birth in the United States. Even if he was born at home there must be names of witnesses and the person filing the certificate officially.
I am a Obama supporter and already voted for him but this is really step one of the eligibility to be President of the United States. I would also, accept that if he was born overseas that he would be eligible as a U.S. citizen since his mother was one. This will be found out.
I was stationed in Panama during 1989 to 1990 so I knew at the time McCain was born there that was U.S. territory same as being born in Washington, D.C.So that was never an issue. But then again I have not seen a copy of McCain’s Birth Certificate either.

First, I have ALWAYS voted Democrat for the past twenty some odd years, assisted on Democratic campaigns and hold an advanced degree. I also studied political science in college with a minor in American history. I have followed constitutional law as a hobby although I do not practice in it.
If you are going to claim to be “elite”, i.e. well-informed or better educated than everyone else, please do your legal research before blogging. Your assertion that just because his mother is a U.S. citizen then he is and therefore meets the eligibility requirement contained in the U.S. Constitution is overly simplified and not supported by the Constitution, or the applicable 1961 Federal statutes governing citizenship status confered upon children of U.S. citizens born abroad. And under the applicable law in 1961, together with his mother’s age when she gave birth, he is not conferred the status of a natural born citizen IF HE WAS BORN IN KENYA. Since that is the Constitutional requirement to take the office of President, it matters.
In fact, Senator Obama should know how critical this issue is because he not only is a lawyer, but he taught constitutional law and claims to have a love of this area of the law.
This factual discrepancy did not arise because a stranger stated he knew Senator Obama was born in Kenya not Hawaii. These are statements from HIS Kenyan grandmother whom he knows and has spent time. He’s written a book which is partially about his family in Kenya. By all accounts, his Kenyan grandmother speaks of his accomplishments and claims him as an important grandson and member of his Kenyan family. So she appears to be a credible witness – in fact, she is likely a biased witness in his favor. But she makes these statements publicly.
Given his grandmother’s statements, a responsible canidate should do his utmost to provide the best evidence available to resolve the matter beyond any doubt. What he has provided is a computer generated short form which does not include the hospital information. The original long form would provide this information. The application for issuance of a Certificate of Hawaiian birth would be the best evidence because it is the original source of all the information filled out by his mother and the hospital staff.
He should provide the best evidence to resolve a factual discrepancy from an apparent legitimate source – his grandmother. If for no other reason than to protect to validity of the Constitution and its eligibility requirements for all canidates which run for office governed by this document. If he double deals by not providing the best evidence to resolve the matter, then doesn’t that weaken the respect we hold for the Constitution? If we or he is willing to ignore the Constitution in this matter, then what else within that document is “unimportant” when it interfers with our opinion of what is right or our personal agendas.
Consider this: If this factual discrepancy is resolved after the election and it is proven that he was born in Kenya and not Hawaii, then he is not eligible to take the office of President even if he wins the election and is voted in by the Electoral College in December. He can not even take the Oath as it requires him affirm and swear to uphold the U.S. Constitution. If it is confirmed after he takes office, he arguably can not remain in office under the Constitution. There is no waiver for lack of timeliness in the Constitution. If this is proven, he can’t act as President. Now what will that do to this country that he loves so much.
Again, I would not even be concerned about this other than the fact that his GM in Kenya appears to be a credible source and he has done nothing to explain her statements or why she is wrong. So we have a grandmother who says she was at his birth in Kenya and an abbreviated government document which lacks the name of the hospital in Hawaii. And a candidate who wants me to just ignore his grandmother’s recollection as an eyewitness and accept this document because he says I should.
Also, the fact that the Kenyan government has sealed any records pertaining to Obama until after the election (which I’m trying to verify with a news report) raises the question, why are there records to seal if he wasn’t born there. And why is the Prime Minister of kenya having them sealed anyway. And why did the Prime Minister travel 275 miles across Kenya to visit the Grandmother who made these statements on Monday October 27th of this week? That was reported in a Nairobi newspaper.
Why does Senator Obama not explain to those of us who are concerned about this factual discrepancy why he believes his Kenyan grandmother is mistaken or wrong about his birthplace. Why does he keep pushing a short form which has no hospital information on it when his own grandmother tells it different and when a more informative document exists?
My father once said when you are in a postion of authority or power it is not enough to follow the law but you must also conduct yourself so that you give no appearance of not honoring the letter or the spirit of the law. You have to remain above reproach.
For such an important issue with such a simple solution, I am surprised he hasn’t held himself to this standard as a leader and put the matter to rest with the best available evidence rather than words. He is by all accounts a very intelligent man. His bio and reputation is that he seeks to serve rather than just chase a dollar. However, that does not mean I have to accept his assurances at face value and rely upon his word. I’m surprised he expects me to do so.

You seem to be a very smart person. I agree with almost everything you have written. I think that the fact he hasn’t resolved this by providing a copy of the original document really magnifies that he is trying hide something. Seems to me that it should be a prerequisute for all candidates to prove that they are elligible to run for the Office of The President just like we have to provide Birth Certificates when our kids play sports.
I tried to persuade the media to ask Obama, why he won’t disclose a certified copy of his original long vault version of his Certificate of Live Birth in Hawaii. Nothing. They know that if they ask him a question like that, then he will never give them an interview again.

Do you really think that there is anyone out there that will question this until it gets resolved? Seems to me that we are swimming against the tide and are getting nowhere. I was born in Hawaii in 1961, three months after Obama. My certificate of live birth looks exactly like the one posted above, info changed of course.
Ok I would like to see an original birth certificate instead of a second generation reproduction copy using a laser printer and arial style font that has very little information on it. However I am sure you nor I will ever see it. This is a joke.
Aloha – Thanks very much for posting. Progress at last. What was the exact date that your birth was registered and what was the serial number on your original ‘Certificate of Live Birth’? We should be able to deduce whether Obama’s alleged birth was registered before or after yours. Have you read my blog in Politico? If Barack was certified to be born in Hawaii on 8-8-61 then why does this site http://www.wargs.com/political/obama.html show that he was really born on 8-4-61? One reason is it took 3 days for his mother to be able to travel to Hawaii to register him as an American even though he isn’t. This is fraud and his mother should be in prison for this, whatever age she is!!! But then again, maybe that darn International Date Line is to blame???
Gandolfo – I haven’t seen anywhere that Obama was born on the 8th August 1961. Where have you seen that? The date of birth shown on the short relacement certificate is alleged to be 4th August 1961 – see my blog. As for Obama’s mother, she died at the Straub Clinic in Honolulu on the 7th November 1995. The family tree link that you have provided is useful, though.

Myself and several American minister with our church were present during this time in Kenya, and the facts concerning this strife and the ensuing violence were well known, and of common knowledge throughout all of Kenya.
The opposition party that was responsible for all of the violence was from the minority Luo tribe, which is a Muslim tribe that supported Mr. Raila Odinga for president. Raila Odinga is a Marxist socialist who graduated from the East Germany Magdeburg University in 1970 on a scholarship from the East German government. He named his first born son after Fidel Castro. Raila Odinga spent six years in prison for his admitted involvement in the bloody coup attempt in 1982 to over take and assissinate Daniel Arap Moi, Kenya’s President. Mr. Odinga has publicly admitted to being the leader of that coup in his 2006.
Mr. Odinga is the cousin of United States Senator Barack Obama. Mr. Obama is from the same Muslim tribe, the Luo Tribe, as Mr. Odinga. Senator Obama visited Kenya in August of 2006 and campaigned extensively for his cousin, Mr. Odinga, which gave Odinga a tremendous boost. During Senator Obama’s campaign stops on behalf of his cousin Odinga, the Senator made numerous claims against the democratic government of Kenya and Kenya’s Presidcent Mwai Kibaki, claiming they were corrupt, stating often, that Kenya was “ready for change”, just as he has campaigned here in the United States during the Presidential election. It has been common knowledge throughout Kenya that Senator Obama sent his foreign policy advisor, Mr. Mark Lippert, to Kenya at least three times to advise Mr.Odinga on his campaign strategies. See Mark Hyman’s Washington Times article published October, 12, 2008, attached as Exhibit “I”. Moreover, everyone in Kenya is well aware that Senator Obama donated over one million American dollars ($1,000,000) to his cousin’s, Mr. Odinga’s campaign, which is documented in the Kenyan Political Party, for Mr. Odinga. Orange Democratic Movement (hereinafter “ODM”) along with extensive funds from other Muslim supporters including but not limited to the Muslim son of Muammar Gadhafi, the dictator of Libyan’s Muslim government. These issues are common knowledge throughout Kenya, and the information is publicly document across the internet.
It is detailed in Odinga’s financial reports and strategies ODM Internal Memo documents, attached as Exhibit “2?, which are public records, that a significant portion of Senator Obama’s financial contributions (made through an organization identified as Friends of Senator Barack Obama) were used to help finance both the signed Muslim Memorandum of Understanding as well as the planned violence, murders and bloodshed that occurred in December of 2007. Within the ODM Internal Memo attached as Exhibit “2?, the funds donated by Mr. Obama through “Friends of Senator Barack Obama” were to be used for “Violence as a last result…to discourage voter participation in hostile areas..use ODM agents on the ground to engineer ethnic tensions in target areas…support Kapondi’s forces in Mt. Eglori”, and to do as during “Mid-December”. Unfortunately, the exact violence described in these reports was carried out and occurred at the beginning of the second week of December 2007.
Additionally, it is common knowledge throughout both the Christian and Muslim communities in Kenya, that contrary to news media propaganda here in the United States, US Senator Barack Obama is a Muslim and not a Christian, and that he was born in Mombasa, Kenya and not in the State of Hawaii as falsely purported by the Obama campaign for presidency of the United States. Mr. Obama’s cousin ran his failed campaign for the Kenyan presidency in the identical fashion of Senator Obama’s American campaign strategy, and that being to join a nominal Christian Church in order to publicly profess to be a Christian, while maintaining their actual Muslim beliefs, in order to sway public opinion away from the actual fact of his strong Muslim beliefs, family and goals. It is a known fact that membership in the United Church of Christ in Chicago, where Barack Obama was a member, does not require muslims to renounce their Islamic faith in order to join the UCC church. Throughout Kenya it is and was well publicized in the media that a Memorandum of Understanding agrement, attached as Exhibit “3?, between Raila Odinga and Shiek Abdullahi Abdi, chairman of the National Muslim Leaders Forum, was signed by Odinga in August 29, 2007 in which Raila Odinga promised if elected to implement drastic changes including but not limited to the following:
* Recognize “Islam as the only true religion”
* “Islamic leaders would have an oversight rule to monitor activities of ALL other religions (emphasis in the original)
* Installation of Shariah courts in every jurisdiction to implement Islamic law
* Implement a ban on Christian preaching
Because of the seriousness of all of the above, as a Christian and a citizen of the United States, this preacher could no longer sit idly by knowing these things and continue to minister in both Kenya and the United States. As the presiding bishop over the Continental Presbytery of Africa, I authorized representatives within our church to locate and interview Ms. Sarah Hussein Obama, the actual grandmother of US Senator Barack Obama. Ms. Sarah Obama lives in the Alego-Kogello, approximately 37 miles from Kisumu, where the Anabaptists have a congregation, and where this preacher has preached several times prior to the December elections in 2007, and prior to the planned violence from the Odinga supporters, which erupted.
With Senator Obama being born in Kenya and not in the United States, he is not a “natural born” citizen and it prohibits him from being eligible to run for and/or serve as President of the United States. Since Senator Obama’s birth was reportedly in 1961, birth records may or may not be available, so I felt it very important to obtain the testimony of his grandmother as a first hand witness, since it is commonly known throughout Kenya, and especiallyaround the Kisamu area, that Sarah Obama was present when Barack Obama, Jr. was born in Kenya.
Accordingly, on Thursday, October 16, 2008 Reverend Kweli Shuhudia (actual name temporarily withheld to protect his life), an evangelist with our ministries traveled to Kogello and located Ms. Sarah Obama at her home, see the attached email attached as Exhibit “4?. Mr. Shuhudu is a very intelligent and educated citizen of Africa, a former teacher and respected evangelist throughout Africa. Mr. Shuhudia acts as our official translator when we are in Africa, and is fluent in both Swahili and English. Mr. Shahudu met and interviewed Ms. Sarah Obama at length on October 16th during which interview, he called me on my mobile number, see my phone record attached as Exhibit “6?. Mr Shuhudia called me first on october 16th at 10:33 a.m. and advised that hwe was with Sarah Hussein Obama and that she wanted to speak with me, but the connection was lost. He called me right back at 10:35 a.m. and he informed me that there were several hundred people present, celebrating Obama’s success. I questioned him about the format of the phone call and conversation with Ms. Obama, and then informed him that I would call him right back, so it would not cost him international charges for the call. I called him back at 10:40 a.m. and public music and voices could be heard that were gathered around Kweli Shuhudia. I then spoke with him and requested that htey utilize the speaker phone so everyone could hear.
The speaker phone with its open microphone was utilized with Mr. Shuhdia, Mr. Vatalis Alec Ogombe the Kogelo Community chairman assisting in the translation work and Ms. Sarh Hussein, along with several hundred people including policemen present and listenin in the open conversation between the four of us for approximately 15 minutes. Mr. VO is also the step grandson of Ms. Obama and the cousin of Barack Obama. A third unknown party can be heard periodically interjecting both Swahili and English words in the public discussion and conversation between the four of us. At times, the room noise from other peoples’ voices makes some of the swahili difficult to hear, and towards the end of the conversation several men’s voices are heard that are not identified. As I talked to and question Ms. Obama publicly over the open microphone of Mr. S’s speaker phone, they would translate what I said to her in Swahili publicly, and then they would translate her Swahili responses to me publicly in English. Ms. Obama can fluently speak Swahili in her native dialect, but cannot read or write. In the ensuing public conversation, I asked Ms. Obama specifically, “Were you present when your grandson Barack Obama was born in Kenya?” this was asked to her in translation twice, and both times she specifically replied, “Yes! Yes she was! She was present when Obama was born.” Though, some few younger relatives, including Mr. Ogombe, have obviously been versed to counter such facts with the common purported information from the American news media that Obama was born in Hawaii, Ms. Sarah Hussein Obama was very adamant that her grandson, Senator Barack Hussein Obama, was born in Kenya, and that she was present and witnessed his birth in Kenya, not the United States. When Mr. Ogombe attempted to counter Sarah Obama’ clear responses to the question, verifying the birth of Senator Barack Obama in Kenya, I asked Mr. Ogombe, how she could be present at Barack Obama’s birth if the Senator was born in Hawaii, but Ogombe would not answer the question, instead he repeatedly tried to insert that, “No, No, No, He was born in the United States!” But during the conversation, Ms. Sarah Hussein Obama never changed her reply that she was in deed present when Senator Barack Obama was born in Kenya. A transcript of this taped public interview is attached as Exhibit “6?. Mr. Shuhudia took photographs during the open conversations and interview with Ms. Sarah Hussein Obama, which photos will be forthcoming.
Becase of the seriousness of the political situation and the impact of such on a United States Presidential election, and because of the factual reality of tremendous violence in kenya towards Christians, especially in the immediate area of Kisumu, where both Sarah Hussein Obama and Rev. Kweli Shuhudia live, it is requested that all reasonable and legal steps be taken to secure Rev. Kweli Shuhudia’s identity to the Federal Court alone, in order to protect his life and safety for being willing to provide this very important assistance in gathering this testimony and evidence to be used in any Federal litigation.
The above related facts are true and verifiable to the best of my personal knowledge before God Almighty, whom I am and whom I serve.

I have some great news. As many of you that has been listen to our radio show the last few days are familiar with the law suit that is in front of the Supreme Court which Leo has brought. Leo called me today and told me that all 9 of the Justice will go into a conference on December 5th and decide what to do with this case. Leo tell me that this was a history making event. It has not happened in many decades. This is what they will decide: 1). to grant his motion, 2). to dismiss his motion or 3). hold a hearing on the motion. Leo feels that they will hold a hearing on the motion which will be to decide the case. Folk this is important because of 1 reason, there is 5 Republican Judges and 4 Democrat Judge on the court. Leo feels that they will find in his favor.

The birth certificate above is dated 1963; the certified copy, 1998; obviously, it doesn’t resemble what Obama has presented.
A suggestion – request another copy, now, (2008) of the 1963 birth certificate, and see if it matches Obama’s recent copy.

Another point in question: why has Obama refused to release ANY medical records? Kids go to the dentist (hopefully) – immunization shots – doctor’s appointments – school records starting age 5. I know the mother was somewhat a “hippie”, but NOTHING?

Military hospitals in your universe don’t file normal birth certificates with the state they’re in, just like every other hospital?
Obama may not want to show anyone his birth certificate, but I assure you this one is real.
We shouln’t even have to discuss this. Obama should just show the American people a copy of the vault copy of his birth certificate that he had sealed. Period.
Its real simple, Obama has only shown a Certification, and a forged one at that. It has been officially examined by forensic experts using a hex editor and has definitely been altered.
The official, as Matt has posted, is a Certificate. From about 1910 to 1972 you could get a Certification even if you were born somewhere else. That was discontinued in 1972. However, birth certificates can be amended according to current Hawaiian code, even for foreign born, which is probably what Obama is in the process of doing.
Bottom Line: Obama’s Certificate means nothing. You cannot even enroll a kid in little league baseball with a Certificate.
So Obama has not been officially vetted and his citizenship remains in questions until he produces an official certificate (or at least a good forgery).
My mother has my original birth certificate somewhere. When I need one to travel abroad I had to get a replacement. The original one from Kentucky has much more information on it. The copy I received in 2006 has no more info on it than Obama’s. I called the KY bureau that issued it because I was concerned. A lady there said that info on the original was no longer required on copies because they could be considered inappropriate these days and were not necessary for legal purposes. On the original my mother’s race was listed as “Mexican” , my weight, length, absence of birthmarks, birth order (single) and a few other things. The present one says Latin American. I don’t know if they do that in Hawaii or not but they do in a few other states also. I am glad of it.
Ordering one in 1998 has no bearing on 2008. Order a fresh copy as was suggested months ago and see what you get. Same type of COLB as Obama. That’s all HI DOH sends since the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004. That type of short form is all some states send. It is the default choice many others send though they offer a long form. Either way both are legally just as valid and indicate county and state of birth.
Some will say “From about 1910 to 1972 you could get a Certification even if you were born somewhere else. That was discontinued in 1972.” However you had to be over 1 year old to get that after submitting an affidavit. Not 4 days old as Obama was registered. Also it still would indicate true place of birth, i.e. Kenya not Honolulu.
Hay, Just to let you know even if he (Obama) was born in “The US” he is not a citizen since his mother was not here for the set time limit “10 years” she went to Africa to get F#@ked by a “African”. First you are born. Your parents are then given a paper to sign “Birth Certificate” then they wait a few days. (This is because of the Old Days when lots of new borns died) Then your parents are sent another paper saying “Cerficate of live birth”…
The picture posted here is the “Birth Certificate” not what obama has shown us which is the “Certificate of Life Birth” (Meaning He stayed alive after birth and did not die)!!!

I don’t know why yours looks different then ours, other then probably because it’s military. Both me and my fiance were born in Kaiser Medical Center, and it looks exactly like Obama’s. I’m only willing to show creditable press, but press don’t even want to touch this story because they think it’s conspiracy theorist nuts. I would be willing to show any creditable journalist from Fox News. By the way our Governor Linda Lingle who also said Obama’s birth certificate is legit is a Republican. If she had dirt on Obama, trust me Linda Lingle would of voiced it.

So many of the reports that I have read indicate that Obama had his attorney fight to dismiss the charges against him. They also show that the judge that allowed this to be done was a left wing liberal, GO figure. It’s amazing how Obama can simply ignore these allegations and nothing more is coming of it. Why can’t a judge force him to submit something legal and binding. In other documented reports, his own grandmother states that he wasn’t born in the United States. I have found online at reputable news web sites a supposed copy of Obama’s birth certificate from Hawaii. On another web site, I found the same 1963 copy of a Hawaiian birth certificate as is found on this web site.
The first is supposedly Obama’s “original” birth certificate…posted at http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2008/jun/27/obamas-birth-certificate-part-ii/. It’s in the very similar, modern day digital format as my real estate license issued in 2006 through 2009. I’m trying to make out the date at the bottom left of when the last time the form was revised…looks like either 11/01 or 11/05. Immediately following the revision date is the word, “LASER.” If this is referring to a laser printer, they didn’t have laser printers in 1961. MORE IMPORTANTLY, A BIRTH CERTIFICATE FROM 1961 WOULD NOT HAVE A FORM REVISION DATE DATED AFTER 1961, MUCH LESS AFTER 2001 or 2005 AS INDICATED ON THE BOTTOM LEFT CORNER OF THE SUPPOSED [COMPUTER GENERATED] BIRTH CERTIFICATE POSTED AT politifact.com!!!!!
The second attachment is of an actual 1963 birth certificate from Hawaii. He was born in 1961, which comes before 1963, so a birth certificate from 1961 should look the same as 1963 or very similar to it. My own 1961 birth certificate looks more like the 1963 Hawaiian birth certificate. Get your own birth certificates out and look at them. These forms were filled in either by hand or by typewriter as computers were not in use at that time.
The first attachment of his “birth certificate” can not be accurate. There have probably been several form revisions since 1961 so how can his original birth certificate from 1961 look like one that was last revised in 11/01 or 11/05???!!!
I would be interested in seeing another current Hawaiian birth certificate to see if the same verbiage at the bottom middle of the document is on all certificates… “This copy serves as prima facie evidence of the fact of birth in any court proceeding.”

What if Hawaii didn’t even give birth certificates in 1961? They had only been in the union for two years. Before they entered the union, why would they even create a birth certificate for their citizens. It’s not like they would be receiving social security benefits. During the timeframe of 1959-1963 or so they could have still been in the process of documenting births and they just don’t have a good, solid record on it either way. Therefore, there’s no way to prove or disprove anyone on the issue. Both sides lose or win the argument. You folks do realize that while you’re spinning your wheels on this issue the rest of the country has moved on and national healthcare is up for debate. Remember, you can’t play the game if you aren’t even in the field. You can’t win the game unless your eye is on the ball. THIS ISSUE IS NOT THE BALL! For you dizzy people who are still hung up on Obama’s birth certificate I have 3 birth certificates sitting in front of me. One is my mothers who was born in 1926 and the certificate says Certificate of Birth, Territory of Hawaii, Bureau of Vital Statistics, Honolulu, TH (“TH”-territory of Hawaii). Then it has an ID number and all the appropriate information, physicians name and address, a territory of Hawaii seal and signed and dated by the Registrar-General.
The 2nd certificate is mine but the original which I lost was the same as my mothers. I was born in the 1940’s. When I went to have a birth certificate made in the 60’s after statehood they would not issue me the original territory of hawaii one so I have one like Obama which lists the minimal am’t of information and it says Certificate of Live Birth, State of Hawaii, Dept of Health, Hawaii USA. No registrar signed this but it states the date filed by registrar. The KEY NOTE on this certificate is on the bottom of the certificate where it states “this copy serves as PRIMA FACIE EVIDENCE of the fact of birth”, in other words this is a legal birth document if needed for proof of birth or in court proceedings. I think this is where everyone gets confused but I can guarantee that no one can buy a Hawaii birth certificate if they weren’t born here. My 4 children born in the 60’s and 70’s also have one like Obama and they are all US citizens.
The 3rd certificate that I have is of my grandchild born in the 90’s and it says Certificate of Live Birth, State of Hawaii, Dept of Health, Office of Health Status Monitoring, it also has a file# and an ID# with lots of information including mother & father, MD, registrar, hospital, race, address and it looks similar to alan above who posted his birth certificate in june 2008. someone mentioned that alan’s bc is a military bc and not a hawaii bc and that’s not true. Even when born in Tripler military hospital the bc given the patient is the same one given the residents of Hawaii. The only time there is a “military birth certificate” is when a baby is born in a foreign country and is a US citizen. Why this bc looks different then mine, and my chidrens is beyond me. Like everything else that changes, legal documents also change.
That would be nice IF Obama had a Certificate of Live Birth as you do. Obama says he has a Certification of Live Birth. One ends in a “e” one with an “ion”. They are VERY different documents. The state of Hawaii web sight says directly it does not accept Certification of Live Birth as proof of place of birth. Many people born overseas to Hawaii residents have Certificates of Live Birth, that is the point. A Certification of Live Birth simply says a woman who has a mailing address in Hawaii for at least a year gave birth and the child is alive. It is not proof of where the child was born. If Obama had been born in Hawaii he would have Certificate, with an “e”, of Live Birth. Nobody that I know of has ever shown proof of such a document existing.

independentview1, I made a mistake.
My most recent Hawaii birth certificate that was made says Certification of Live Birth. It was the most recent copy of my birth that my daughter applied for, for geneological purposes. It was printed in 2004. Whether it says Certification or Certificate of Birth it is the same and both can be used for legal purposes. My granddaughters original certificate which states Certificate of Live Birth was printed in 1994 when she was born. This is a more detailed certificate similar to alans above. Whyever do they have different looking certificates made by the State of Hawaii Dept of Health is beyond me. The “Certification” of Live Birth states that the copy serves as “prima facie” evidence of the fact of birth and that is the important thing. The state of Hawaii seal is on both types and that’s the important factor along with the certificate and file number. I hope this clarifies your questioning.
Tamra, I can almost guarantee that there is no link available that declares that a Certification of Birth is not a legal birth document. I can guarantee that it is legal. I used my Certification of Birth certificate for court when I adopted my granddaughter. The Hawaiian home lands requirements for proof of birth is as genuine as can be. Those people play no games and if they say certification and certificate is accepted thats because both are legal and they no longer issue the old type, “certificate”.

I too would like to get to the bottom of this BC issue, especially since Hawaii will not even disclose their rules. They refuse to explain the Filed vs Accepted terminology. I would love to see a copy of your BC, confidential information redacted of course. If yours really does say date filed by registrar, maybe it’s because you were born before Hawaii was a state. Would you please contact the DOH to find out what it means on your BC that it says filed by registrar, instead of accepted by registrar? They may respond to you, because you have a vested interest in your BC. However, I’ve seen others born before Hawaii was a state which state accepted by registrar. Thank you in advance. I recently posted an e-mail from the Hawaii DOH confirming that birth certificate numbers are assigned at the state DOH office. Somebody was trying to refute that by saying somebody who spoke to the vital stats worker said the hospitals had blocks of cert #’s and the hospital numbered their certs within that block.
I don’t know if the formatting will work here, but I’m compiling a list of anonymous data regarding cert#’s (to the nearest hundred to maintain privacy) and hospitals. So far, Kapiolani has cert#’s that range from the 900’s to the 15,000’s:

But the person trying to refute the DOH e-mail I posted says they’ve changed their process 4 times in the last 30 years. He could say that the block of numbers changed in that time. So the more numbers I’ve got to establish patterns with, the better off I’ll be in understanding and documenting how it really was.
So – after all that (lol) – I am wondering if you would be willing to fill in your data for the chart I’ve got. Basically the cert number with the last 2 digits redacted. Or however much you wanted to redact. Or you can tell me to take a hike. lol.

Hawaii can prepare birth registration docs however it likes but it is a state not the constitution it agreed to follow when it was accepted as a state. Bottom line is that if Hawaii wants to certify Obama as a “natural born citizen” it must provide compelling evidence to meet that condition or none of its’ citizens are being served by the state properly and constitutional observance becomes an issue. As usual, the Constitution provides the framework for the law, but it is the law that fills in the gaps. The Constitution authorizes the Congress to do create clarifying legislation in Section 5 of the 14th Amendment; the Constitution, in Article 1, Section 8, Clause 4, also allows the Congress to create law regarding naturalization, which includes citizenship.
Currently, Title 8 of the U.S. Code fills in the gaps left by the Constitution. Section 1401 defines the following as people who are “citizens of the United States at birth:”
Anyone born inside the United States
Any Indian or Eskimo born in the United States, provided being a citizen of the U.S. does not impair the person’s status as a citizen of the tribe
Any one born outside the United States, both of whose parents are citizens of the U.S., as long as one parent has lived in the U.S.
Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year and the other parent is a U.S. national
Any one born in a U.S. possession, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year
Any one found in the U.S. under the age of five, whose parentage cannot be determined, as long as proof of non-citizenship is not provided by age 21
Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is an alien and as long as the other parent is a citizen of the U.S. who lived in the U.S. for at least five years
A final, historical condition: a person born before 5/24/1934 of an alien father and a U.S. citizen mother who has lived in the U.S.

Anyone born in the US is a natural born citizen, they do not have to have 2 parents who are US citizens UNLESS they are born outside of the US. The other thing I have to say about it is this: If the only way (natural born citizenship) to be qualified for the office of the President of the United States, according to your interpretation, is to have 2 parents who are BOTH US citizens, then how could George Washington have been president? Article 2 of the Constitution states “No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President”. George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and the rest were covered because they were citizens at the time the Constitution was adopted.
What Obama released looks nothing like any of the birth certs I’ve seen. I’d still like to see the one signed by the attending physician similar to the one John McCain had to produce during that election.

Another point, Obama’s birth registration was FILED in 1961 but it was never finally ACCEPTED by the Registrar’s office. The FILING triggered the birth announcements in the newspapers which were placed there as a public service each week by the Health Bureau Statistics division. But apparently there was additional documentation information needed to prove the birth actually occurred in Hawaii to finalize the registration. Thus Obama’s CERTIFICATION of Live Birth he has posted on the internet says it was only FILED but does not show it as being finally ACCEPTED. See this page for examples of three CERTIFICATION forms. Look at the lower left corner for the difference.

On Obama’s COLB the line under LOCATION reads, HONOLULU. If this was not the case and in fact he was born in Kenya then that line would read KENYA. The newspapers from 1961 report his mother giving birth in HAWAII. Go get a HAWAIIAN newspaper from 1961 and read it or just google it and read yourself…
Also why not check medical records from Ann Dunham (his mother) to see where she had her son…

Another fact that refutes this specific claim is that the law allowing foreign-born children to obtain Hawaiian COLBs didn’t exist until 20 years after Obama was born, while Obama’s published COLB says his birth information was recorded four days after his birth in 1961, and explicitly states that he was born in Honolulu.

Natural Born
Natural born citizenship is the acquirement of citizenship at the moment of birth.
There are only two types of natural born citizen:
1.Native-born is being born within the territory of the state or commonwealth under the principle of jus soli,
2.Attaining citizenship through the parents’ citizenship status under the principle of jus sanguinis.
Jus Soli
The principle of birthright citizenship gained through being born within a country is called jus soli (Latin for “right of soil”). It isn’t dependent on the citizenship of the parents.[2]
In the United States the principle of jus soli goes back to before the creation of the Constitution. Territorial birthright citizenship was first formally established under English common law in the 1608 case of Calvin v. Smith (77 Eng. Rep. 377 (K.B. 1608)) whose decision was based upon the feudal relationship between a king or lord with their subjects in the early English feudal system.[3]
The Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution confirmed this birthright citizenship in the pertinent part of Section 1,
“All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.” [Note 1]
It has been presumed that any person born within the territory of the United States, including the children of illegal aliens, are granted citizenship under the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution. [2] The only exception is for foreign diplomats’ and officers’ children.[4 and Note 2]
Jus Sanguinis
The other natural born citizenship birthright is called jus sanguinis (Latin for “right of blood”). Jus sanguinis is based on having an ancestor or parent (often the father), who is a national or citizen of the state.[2]
Jus sanguinis has even a longer history under English common law than jus soli. The concept of jus sanguinis dates back to at least 1351 when the statute de Natis Ultra Mare (25 Edw. 3, Stat. 2 (1351)) was passed. This statute became necessary due to King Edwards III’s overseas military campaigns. The statute goes beyond just granting citizenship to the children of those in the King’s service, to include “all children born beyond the sea whose fathers and mothers were at the faith and ligeance of the king of England, and provided that the mothers had gone outside the realm with the permission of their husbands, could inherit, i.e., that they were subjects.”[5]
The concept of Jus sanguinis did influence the creation of the Constitution in the United States. The Naturalization Act of 1790 ((1 Stat. 103) March 26, 1790) clarifies this type of natural born citizen by declaring that “the children of citizens of the United States that may be born beyond Sea, or out of the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural born Citizens.” Thusly the act establishes the United States citizenship of citizens’ children, who are born abroad, without the need for naturalization.[Note 3]
Congress again confirmed jus sanguinis citizenship birthright in the Naturalization Act of 1795 (January 29, 1795 (1 Stat. 414)) “and the children of citizens of the United States, born out of the limits and jurisdiction of the United States, shall be considered as citizens of the United States.” While this leaves out the term natural-born, it does declare them to be citizens by-birth through their parents and therefore do not need the process of naturalization to become citizens.
