WP 2.6 – Snoopy fail

Upgraded to WP 2.6 now I get an interesting error in the incomming links section of the dashboard:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class snoopy in /(Deleted directory listing – What did you think I’m stoopid?)/wp-includes/class-snoopy.php on line 47

Looks like Snoopy is acting up. Maybe he’s off trying to fight the Red Baron again.

UPDATE: Deactivating the Automatic Upgrade plugin makes snoopy happy. I’m not getting that error any more. Automatic Upgrade has an update that fixes the problem, but – fail – it won’t update automatically. 🙂

Yep, that fixed it! I then downloaded the update for the Automatic Upgrade plugin, applied it and activated it, and no error, so it looks like the update corrected the issue, at least for me.

  2. Heist says:

I am getting the same error
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class snoopy in /home/hector/public_html/wp-includes/class-snoopy.php on line 47

But my issue is that I cant even gain access to the site all. and i cant make any changed what so ever to fix the problem. can someone help me please.

In case it helps, I had the same problem and it was the google-seo-positioner that caused the error.

Not even the dasboard would work, I had no access.

So I deleted that plugin via FTP and the site was back up.
