Drudge is reporting an AP/Yahoo poll that reports Obama at 44% and McCain at 42%. Unlike most polls, the headline also reveals that there were 650 Republicans and 873 Democrats that answered the poll questions.
It’s those numbers behind the poll results that are interesting because although the Democrats were over represented in the poll 57 to 43, Obama couldn’t do better than 44%.
Without getting into the structural problems with polling, numbers like this tell me that Mrs. Obama probably shouldn’t be picking out White House china patterns just yet.
