Do you live in a red state? Are you thinking about a protest vote?
You might want to reconsider not voting for McCain.
Why? The 2000 election where Gore “won the national vote” but Bush won the real election. Remember the Supreme Court case and the claims of a stolen election? Hanging chads and recounts ordered by judges?
What do you suppose will happen if Obama “wins the national vote” but McCain wins the real election? Do you suppose the Obama fanatics will quietly go away? Me neither, and I suspect the wailing and gnashing of teeth will be much worse than it was in 2000.
Just because you live in a state that will overwhelmingly go Republican this year is not a reason to not vote or make a protest vote for a third party candidate. The socialist candidate must be soundly defeated. Yes, McCain is a RINO. Yes, he’s not anyone’s ideal candidate, but he’s not a socialist either and in this election, a vote for any other candidate is a vote for socialism.

We’ve already got socialism. The gov’t now owns the banks. That’s what the financial crisis was all about. It was engineered to fail by the Democrats so they coud take them over. Both major parties are taking us farther and farther down the socialist path. They refuse to give us any real choice anymore. So tell me. Why bother voting anymore? What’s the point? It’s just an exercise in futility.
Delaying action.
I don’t see it as a protest vote, I see it as voting my conscience and not just voting for the lesser of 2 evils because everyone tells me that’s my only choice. I have really struggled with this decision, it was not made lightly, and I really hope Obama loses. But I can’t vote for McCain.
