Possibly Banned Shooty Stuff Orders Update

I just ordered a National Match upper from Bushmaster, so I’ll have two uppers for my Bushmaster lower. As soon as I find a distributor that has some lowers in stock I’ll probably pick up a couple.

Brownells just emailed me that my 30 rd AR magazines shipped this morning. So if you’re looking for AR mags, it looks like they have them in stock.

I also ordered a couple of cases of .223 and .308 yesterday.

I’m thinking about ordering some hi-cap mags for guns I don’t have now, but might be getting like the Mini-14 and M1a. I’d order some hi-cap Glock mags, but I don’t plan on ever owning a Glock. (Sorry PDB.)

There have been some rumors floating around, and I hesitate to mention it here because I don’t want to spread possibly false info, that a new AWB would not stop at hi-cap mags > 10 rounds, but even go down to six, which would affect the 1911s. Since you can always use more 1911 mags I’ll probably buy some anyway.

If anyone wants my 2 cents, stock up on hi-cap magazines while you can. The Democrats might be constrained by Heller on banning classes of guns, but Heller didn’t say anything about magazines. Besides, magazines are one of those consumables that you always need anyway. And some extra ammo probably wouldn’t hurt.

UPDATE:  Bushmaster says eight to twelve weeks on the upper.

I have come to expect that kind of ridiculousness from admitted Macintrash enthusiasts.
