Sudden Collapse in Mexico?

From the El Paso Times:

Mexico is one of two countries that “bear consideration for a rapid and sudden collapse,” according to a report by the U.S. Joint Forces Command on worldwide security threats.

Since I’m in Texas, what happens in Mexico is kinda important to me. Mexico has always had stability problems and we’ve had to move in before to protect our interests.

It’s sad, because Mexico has always had so much potential.   With a stable, constitutional government and a free market it would be a prosperous country, every bit the equivalent of the US, Canada or any other first world country.

Mexico is totally safe for the average visitor. The problems are only inside the government and the Cartel. They very rarely rollover into the tourist or the people!
