Why a bad economy is good for business

A recession exposes weak business plans, poor management and systemic shifts in the market that are otherwise covered up by good economic times.

Like an occasional forest fire, they clean out the dead wood and make room for new growth.

Recessions aren’t a failure of the free market, but an important feature.
