Yes, the President is a joke…

But it’s not funny.

Free Republic scoops a 60 Minutes interview.

President Barack Obama said he believes the global financial system remains at risk of implosion with the failure of Citigroup or AIG, touching off “an even more destructive recession and potentially depression.”

His remarks came in a “60 Minutes” interview in which he was pressed by an incredulous Steve Kroft for laughing and chuckling several times while discussing the perilous state of the world’s economy.

“You’re sitting here. And you’re— you are laughing. You are laughing about some of these problems. Are people going to look at this and say, “I mean, he’s sitting there just making jokes about money—” How do you deal with— I mean: explain. . .” Kroft asks at one point.

“Are you punch drunk?” Kroft says.

“No, no. There’s gotta be a little gallows humor to get you through the day,” Obama says, with a laugh.

Laughing at the nation’s financial problems?

Talk about out of touch. At least Kroft called him on it. But I wonder if we’ll actually see that on the broadcast? Hmmmm…

Is this nightmare ever going to end?

UPDATE: The video.

I saw Obama in a picture on a trike when he was young with a smile of amusement on his face. I saw a picture of him in a hat pretending or not pretending to smoke pot while in college. A look of amusement was on his face. Now he sits on sixty minutes with a look of amusement on his face and laughs at our national crisis. Obama is always smiling or laughing or smirking. You can call it what you will, but to him it appears life is a joke. The problem is the joke is now the president. He may even be a good person, but he just doesn’t get it.
