Politicians

A politician is someone who didn’t have enough integrity to be a used car salesman.

Remember that today. I’m not all that happy that a Republican might be elected in Massachusetts but I’m ecstatic that a Democrat might loose.

Scott Brown isn’t a white knight with a pure heart. He’s a politician, so don’t get all hopey changey about him.

It is very unusual to actually get a choice here in MA as to who to vote for, or more exactly who will screw you less once they get in. Normally it is just a formality before we have to bend over and take it again from the DEMs. If Scott can win here that will say something. . . .

Do not mistake my enthusiasm for Scott Brown as support. I fully understand that he is a politician, and a MA politician at that.

    However…

It offers a chance to drive a stake right through the heart of Øbamacare. Check.

It offers a chance to shake the national single party control (slightly). Check.

It offers a chance to break the stranglehold on MA politics at the national level. Check.

It ought to send a message, loud and clear, that we will not be taken for granted any more, that merely slapping an (R) or a (D) on one’s name is not a magic bullet for election even in the “safest” areas.

I like the idea that there are NO “safe” areas for politicians. In general, that is…

I am positively giddy about Scott Brown right now…
