DARPA teases me with flying car

I was promised flying cars over 40 years ago and every year since it’s been one fail after another.

Now DARPA is at it again, teasing me with yet another flying car.

The Government’s envisioned concept consists of a robust ground vehicle that is capable of configuring into a VTOL [Vertical Take Off and Landing] air vehicle with a maximum payload capability of approximately 1,000 lbs.

I’m gona go out on an limb and say it’s not happening now either.

    One never knows… 🙂

The only way any of us is going to get a flying car is to get a pair of surplus J-79s and spot weld them to an old ’73 Vega.
