    Some folks have a hard time distinguishing between a standard in an RFC and a de facto standard, (which is really just convention, and not universal.)

    It didn’t stop with Word. Today one of my users received an e-mail from Important Government Agency with two attachments–and I have no clue which format. Never saw the file name extensions before in my life. I’m considering rendering the reply in Blender 3D, and attaching that to an e-mail. I’ll ask the boss, but she’ll probably say no.
