NRA and Brady's from the Mirror Universe

I love it when Joe Huffman thinks:

Let us suppose that in some alternate reality their is an evil NRA and the the good guys are the Brady Campaign. The opposite of a complete gun ban is not what the Brady Campaign claims as “any gun, anyplace, anytime”. It is mandatory gun ownership, training, and subsidies. Suppose Washington D.C. and Chicago had the evil NRA’s dream of a mandatory hour a day instruction and/or practice in firearm use from age 5 on up. All guns, ammo, and ranges for the mandatory practice are supplied at taxpayer expense. Furthermore all people were required to purchase at least one each of a shotgun, bolt gun, semi-auto rifle, semi-auto pistol, revolver, sub-machine gun, heavy machine gun, and (with subsidies for those who needed help) a mini-gun.

Sounds good to me!

At that point it’s not the guns that need subsidy, it’s the ammo!

So… How do I move there?

I wish I were capable of thinking all the time….

In the first sentence my brain said, “there” and my fingers type “their”. I corrected it in my post but I didn’t see it until I read your post.

    I need an editor…

    Thanks for the link!

Of course the down side is we all have to wear beards…

Goatees. It’s goatees in the evil alternate universe. Which, obviously, means that somewhere out there is a clean-shaven JayG wondering why he’s surrounded by all these angry people…

Mandatory Open Carry. You can get a permit to not open carry, but you have to wear a big shiny peace brassard on your chest, and give up your right to vote or speak publicly.

The brady’tards have no clue how far we can go.

    Jayg: I ain’t wearin’ a Goatse.
