Congress is Rank!

Oops, I misread that. Congress ranks last in confidence: 11%

Well, Duh!

Gallup’s 2010 Confidence in Institutions poll finds Congress ranking dead last out of the 16 institutions rated this year. Eleven percent of Americans say they have “a great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in Congress, down from 17% in 2009 and a percentage point lower than the previous low for Congress, recorded in 2008.

I’d be hard pressed to come up with a worse example. It would be bad enough if they were just inept and useless, like the Post Office, but they’re actively engaged in destroying the United States.

On second thought, I’m surprised it’s as high as 11. (insert goes to 11 joke here)

  1. Rob K says:

I have 100% confidence in the US Congress! I’m certain as can be that they will always do the worst thing possible for the US.

  2. What actually really bugs me is that as disappointed as everyone is, they blame all other members of congress but their own. The seem to believe that their own representatives are not the problem, just everyone else outside of their own control.

I’m not saying this about everyone, but there is a serious number of people who think that way. Hopefully though enough people are pissed this election the toilet will finally be flushed. It’s starting to smell pretty damn rank.
