The Laredo Police Department says Los Zetas have crossed the border and taken over two ranches in South Texas.

In what could be deemed an act of war against the sovereign borders of the United States, Mexican drug cartels have seized control of at least two American ranches inside the U.S. territory near Laredo, Texas.

Two sources inside the Laredo Police Department confirmed the incident is unfolding and they would continue to coordinate with U.S. Border Patrol today. “We consider this an act of war,” said one police officer on the ground near the scene. There is a news blackout of this incident at this time and the sources inside Laredo PD spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Word broke late last night that Laredo police have requested help from the federal government regarding the incursion by the Los Zetas. It appears that the ranch owners have escaped without incident but their ranches remain in the hands of the blood thirsty cartels.

Who gets to play Blackjack Pershing this time?

I bet Governor Perry won’t wait around on Obama to drag his feet. He’ll move and move quick.

Also, Obama can kiss his Arizona lawsuit goodbye. I expect Texas will have a similar law soon.

UPDATE: This may be more rumor than fact. There are gun battles on the Mexican side of the border but as of this morning (7/25) the Laredo PD is saying, “Huh? We don’t know anything about this.”

I say we make ourselves a 51st state!

Less hassle for College students hitting tropical beaches to get shitfaced over spring break. A “Path to Citizenship” for Mexican nationals in the United States illegally. A smaller border with Guatemala to secure (OK just looked at a map, maybe not, but its certainly no worse than the US/Mexican one) and cheap retirement communities for retired Yankees to move to who see Florida to be too much of a stigma!

I’m betting we could bulldoze much of Mexico city for a new Disney World.

Cuba is a nice piece of land, while we’re at it!
