There are several distinct dialects that don't show up there. East Texas is split between Northeast Texas and Southeast Texas, which are both different from Central Texas. West Texas is also kinda split between Northwest and Southwest. Of course then there are all the Yankees and Californistan refugees that moved into the cities, but they don't count. (And, yes, I'm a geek.)
