Everyone is equal before the law?

Not so much.

Seems some Congresscritters and their staffers routinely benefit from insider trading.

Here’s the fun part:

The aides identified by the Journal say they didn’t profit by making trades based on any information gathered in the halls of Congress. Even if they had done so, it would be legal, because insider-trading laws don’t apply to Congress.

See, there’s laws for us and then there are laws for them.

Congress exempts itself from laws that apply to the rest of us.

(And BTW, the ones that say they didn’t profit from inside info? They’re lying.)

Christ, how many generations of this shit do we have to go through? When did Jimmy Stewart make that movie about corruption in the Senate? Kleptocracy, we’re in a Frackin’ Tzar Putin-like Kleptocracy.
