Happy Guy Fawkes Day!

I’d say go blow something up in celebration but the feds have pretty much legislated good clean fun out of existence.

Hard to even shoot an anvil these days. And don’t even think about fireworks.

So sad.

(It was recently pointed out to me that the English celebrate the death of Guy Fawkes and the survival of the king on Guy Fawkes Day. Figures they’d get it exactly wrong.)

A perfect illustration of why we got the fuck out of there and started our own country. Jesus.

They didn’t get it wrong – Revisionst history, you know. All the cool kids are doing it.

If you want to go really authentic English, you need to burn the Pope in effigy.

And they call US rednecks …

I always considered it a celebration of the attempt …

Drove the second ex-Mrs Brown right ’round the twist with that one.

    🙂

They celebrate his death because they’re Protestant. If they had it the other way around, it’d be the equivalent of our celebrating the victory of Wahhabis on September 11.

Yep, and they drive on the wrong side of the road, too.

We didn’t blow anything up. Pity. But we did watch V for Vendetta.
