I think you need to fix a link.

    Oops. Thanks, Joe.

Yep – I’ve come to the same decision. And, with my family spread out all over the country (Denver, San Diego, Chicago, Lafayette LA, San Juan PR), the airline just lost out on quite a few tickets.

Yep. Same here. Nothing I want to go to that can’t be reached by car, train, or boat.

In order for something to jump the shark, it has to have been at one time enjoyed and appreciated by people.

    Good point.

Damn I can’t drive to Hawaii, they gonna have to take the ugly DMV picture.

Alan, thank you for the link.

I just did a round of price quotes, by phone, with a few airlines that fly from DC to SoCal. Average price on a 5-day purchase right now is ~$700/ticket. I then informed them that I was not going to fly due to TSA intrusiveness and would be driving instead. I requested that the booking agents inform their supervisors of the outcome of this call, and ask that they push back against the TSA.

To their credit, all of the booking agents were polite, respectful, and understanding. I wonder if my calls will get reported as requested…
