One of the few enumerated responsibilities of the US Federal Government is to secure the borders and it has completely failed. The Federal Government’s grasping to control everything yet failing at everything is the reason we have Federalism in the first place. The founding fathers knew a large central government was made of fail. It’s time to roll back the feds.
Wikipedia says the length of the border is 1969 miles. If you divide that into 100 yd increments, you get just over 25,200 increments. If we took all the troops out of southwest Asia, then we could easily man that number of elevated .50 cal nests along the border, with the only ROE that if a nest is fired upon, prepare to be lit up!
