Pete King: “I am a big dumb ass.”

Hey, I can do fake but accurate too.

What he really said was, “Yes, I expect to go forward, and it’s not a disagreement I have with many people in the Republican Party,”

Rep. Peter King (R., N.Y.) says he still plans to pursue legislation that would make it illegal to bring a firearm within 1,000 feet of a member of Congress, despite opposition from GOP leadership. In fact, he claims to have the backing of most Republicans.

So he’s a big dumb ass AND delusional if he thinks most Republicans support this loony idea. Hell, even most Democrats won’t support it.

I have decided to introduce a resolution compelling Rep. Peter King to wear a shock collar at all times, and I believe I would have the backing of most SnarkyBytes readers. 🙂

He’s trying to put the onus on the wrong people. It should instead be legislators must stay at least 2,000 feet away from any person exercising their 2nd Amendment rights to keep and bear arms. I.E. with all due respect Rep. King, stay the _____ away from us.

So, you get to move that big bubble around the country and turn a bunch of people who are minding their own business, and not aware that you’re there, into instant criminals?

Hell, no! You are not that special!

Maybe he’s suffering from Stockholm Syndrome, he is after all a Republican in New York.

I was also thinking about how it could be done, technology wise.

The first thing (and most appealing) would be that we would have to have a GPS locator device, like an ankle bracelet or subdermally implanted device that cannot be removed, so that the whereabouts of every federally elected official’s whereabouts would be known 24/7. Second, every carrier of a weapon, open or concealed, would be issued a GPS unit that displays the whereabouts of every GPS located fed.

How will he enforce this law? How will CCW holders be warned of the presence of a legislator?

Will the legislator need to carry a warning sign visible from 1000 feet?

Maybe a harness with a big red barrage balloon attached to it? Or an entourage of loud professional wailers?
