I can understand the possibility of danger if a teacher had to fire their weapon in school. I can’t understand the logic of thinking an unarmed teacher, in a classroom without any protection, is safer from some crazy intent on hurting the students.

  2. Because only the killer should have a gun. Heaven forbid anyone actually stop him! Because you know with all those kids trying to hide, and the teacher trying to protect them, he’s just going to shoot the kids!

    Freaking idiot.

  3. I tend to agree with him. It would be dangerous to shoot inside a classroom. It would be less dangerous than allowing a madman to do all the shooting though.

  4. Jess says:

When you add the fact that crazy folks have a tendencey to want notoriety, I’d think the argument for armed teachers becomes stronger. There’s no glory in having your obvious ignorance plastered on the front page. So, why take the chance?

  5. Mark Alger says:

Dangerous! I should hope so! That’s the point — to make the prospect so dangerous for anyone bent on harm to the teachers’ charges that the attempt never be made!

    Sheesh! Whatta buncha maroons!

Daniel Vice’s comment is so *obviously* stupid I wouldn’t know where to begin..
