TSA Unionizes

Obama’s TSA allowed to unionize.

“This will be President Obama’s biggest gift to organized labor,” Representative John L. Mica, Republican of Florida, the chairman of the House Transportation Committee said in a statement, adding that it was “all bad news for the traveler, the taxpayer and aviation security,” because it would limit the flexibility of the agency, despite assurances from Mr. Pistole that it would not.

So, right behind the decision to stop airports from replacing TSA with private contractors we have a decision allowing the TSA employees to unionize.

This is my shocked face. Let me show it to you.

  1. While many can argue about the merits (or demerits) of George W. Bush, being pushed into allowing the Fed takeover of airport security after 9-11 in the form of TSA was one of his dumbest moves.

Well, that at at least will address the problem that some of the screeners are surly and lack courtesy for the public. Now ALL of them will.

Sigh, gotta agree with BP… This is just going to get ugly(er)…

That may be your shocked face, but if you look in the White House windows today, you’ll see Obama’s smug face.

Bummer. Has it ever happened that unionizing made workers better? Surely there are cases where it made management stink less. What about making workers better?

  6. Steve says:

    I got it!!!
We just need the government to regulate the unions. Like keep them from getting so big that they form paks or vigilante groups. Fight evil with evil.
My flu meds have turned me into a freeking genius.

So it looks like I will be continuing my pattern of never, ever using the airlines to go anywhere.

You know, if you are efficient enough with your stops, you can cross the country in less than 48 hours.

Thus continues the blatant disregard for The People by their duly stolen elected government. Regardless of the statements of ObeyMe, the actions are of a person intending to destroy America as we knew it.

Breaking the back of the People will result in open revolution. Question: Who is waiting in the wings to take over once the established government institutions are gone? Are we going to get an Oligarchy, or an Allahgarchy?

    That’s every day.

Hey, this is just like letting the air traffic controllers unionize. We remember how that turned out, don’t we? Oh yeah, we had a real president back then. Damn.
