Tea Party Patriot Act Fail?

Can someone explain to me why 31 supposed “tea party” representatives voted for the Patriot Act extension?

That police state wet dream has nothing to do with terrorism. It was a laundry list of things the feds had wanted for years, passed in the spirit of “never let a crises go to waste.” And of course it’s been used for everything but terrorism.

    Republicans believe in government.

They may need to be retrained. I suggest applying electric shock as negative re-enforcement.

Maybe I’ll vote Democrat next time. Might as well have an open enemy in power than a backstabber.

I had to give credit where credit was due and sent a thank you to the worthless bucket of spit that is my Congressman (D) for voting against the reauthorization. it was the first complimentary ting I’ve ever said to him.

They lied; that’s what politicians do. It’s in their job description.
