Obama’s shrinking window for reelection

QE2 has caused inflation, gas prices are skyrocketing, employment is still not recovering to mid 2000’s levels let alone 90’s levels. The housing market is still stagnant and looking to get worse. Stagflation is back and better than ever!

States, Counties and municipalities are bankrupt. The Federal government is borrowing half its budget.

It’s becoming pretty clear that the economy will not recover in time for the 2012 election. Obama will likely face challengers in his own party for the nomination and whether he wins the nomination or not, the election will be the Republican’s to lose.

And being Republicans, they CAN lose.

They desperately need a Reagan and all they have now is more Dole and McCain.

I have a coworker that adamantly denied that rising gas prices was inflation and that everything is just hunky-dory.

McDonald’s raised their prices the other day. He flipped out.

    The media’s trying, alan.

Gas prices are rising more and more every day. Back when Bush was president and gas prices rose, it was the leading story for weeks.

    Now?

    Not so much…

I can understand the lack of media attention. They live in the Ideasphere, where unicorn farts power the huge machines the create electrons. Money grows on trees and Nancy Pelosi is the voice of reason.

Meanwhile, in the real world, the taxpayers are getting hosed by their hired servants. It’s a good thing there are blogs. Without them, we’d be oblivious to the fact we’re standing on a the edge of the pit and the edge is crumbling.
