HB 2756, a bill to allow open carry in Texas

I just emailed and called my state rep asking him to sponsor HB 2756 filed by Rep. George Lavender. I’ve read the bill and it removes the concealed requirement from Texas law although it still requires a license to carry a handgun. (baby steps)

If you live in Texas please call your representative and ask them to support HB 2756.

It’s unlikely at this point in the session that this bill will come up for a vote but we need to be vocal in our support of open carry. Unless you let your rep know you want open carry in Texas we’re not going to get it.

  3. I got here by way of Robb Allen. Thanks for posting this. I’m a TX resident and CHL holder, and have been on the edge of my seat waiting for OC to have a serious shot in a legislative session. I’ll be calling my rep. today.

Thanks again, and keep fighting the good fight!
