Just in time for the Texas Spring

I just discovered my allergy remedy of choice is now available over the counter.

As of March 4th Allegra (Fexofenadine) is available without a prescription!

Woot!

  1. Crap, I guess I need to get me some. Does it make you sleepy? That’s what I’m worried about!

It never made me sleepy. It’s supposed to be non-drowsy

$0.39 a tab at Sams Club.

I know the feeling; we were pretty happy a couple of years back when cetirizine (Zyrtec) went off patent.

Fucking wonderful. My insurance won’t cover it anymore, and my pharmacy can’t stock the generic until they get rid of their current stock of Allegra…at $136 a pop.

I can’t get it for two weeks, and I was supposed to get my allergy shots this week, which I can’t do without taking allergy meds beforehand.

It’s not a “generic” for prescription. It’s brand name Allegra moved to “over the counter” status. Go somewhere else and buy it off the shelf.
