The horizon is definitely way out there. How high up were you?
Drive about two hours south of there and you can see land so flat, you can see the curvature of the earth. Lubbock is pretty flat, though.
The building engineer says it’s 255 feet to the top of the parapet wall.
If you were a hundred feet higher, you could have taken a photograph of the back of your head.
