Star Trek will be streaming on Netflix.

Netflix confirmed they will be streaming every episode of every season for all five live-action Star Trek series: the original Star Trek, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and Star Trek: Enterprise. TOS, TNG, Voyager and Enterprise will all become available on July 1st. DS9 will launch on October 1st. TOS and Enterprise will be available in HD

So only TOS, parts of TNG and DS9 are watchable but still, that’s a lot.

Now how about Babylon 5, Netflix?

Hey, I really loved “Enterprise”! Heathen…;)

“Voyager” has been in my queue for a long time, I never did catch any episodes of that back when it was new and shiny. Now’s the perfect time, and I don’t have to use any of my precious DVD slots for it. Thanks for posting about this!

This might be what it takes for me to sign up for Netflix.

unless things have changed VERY recently, B5 has been on Netflix Instant for at least a year…’tis how i finally got a chance to see it in its entirety.

knowing i can rewatch all of TNG instantly, though? total nerdsquee.

How did I not know this?

  5. Feh, only “part” of TOS is watchable, too. The third season is outright painful to watch in places…

All of Battlestar Galactica is on Netflix now, too. The 21st century reboot fills the void left after finishing the B5 series. I could do with the B5 movies streaming.

Well, there go my plans for the summer.

I dunno DS9 stuck me as the series getting tired too

I may have to look into Babylon 5, I really enjoyed that one, but didn’t catch all the episodes when they aired.

  9. LabRat says:

Definitely do, Weer’d. B5 is the first and arguably still best example of what happens when a writer conceives a series from start to finish before it ever sees a screen, and gives it the same fundamental structure as a novel. If ever there was an antidote to flaky creators that pull a show’s myth arc out of their bottoms from season to season, B5 is it.

The first season seems like it’s going nowhere in particular, but that’s because it’s 22 episodes of Straczynski setting up dominoes. It’s only after he’s started knocking them over that it becomes apparent how much was actually happening.
