That pesky 4th Amendment

Sorry, I’m still not interested in making cop’s jobs easier.

Another major revision changes the proposed standard for conducting searches from “probable cause” to “reasonable suspicion” of wrongdoing. The Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas said a “probable cause” standard would unduly restrict law enforcement searches.

I happy restricting law enforcement searches. It SHOULD be a pain in the ass to search someone or someone’s house.

You know what they call a country where the cop’s jobs are easy?

A police state.

  1. I’m sorry Alan, I thought you knew, it’s already here. We learned via Unc yesterday SWAT teams have nothing to do with officer safety in making arrests. The fact is unless people really start screaming enough is enough, and by really scream I mean use some tar and feathers, they’re just going to continue carving off large sections. Already large chunks of the populace are upset, but they’re also terrified that the state’s going to kick down their door if they speak out against it.

God help us cause I don’t see how we can return to constitutional rule, freedom, and liberty while remaining bloodless unless we can get some people with actual integrity in places to actually do something.

So to reign in the TSA, the Texas Legislature is kissing ONE Reps ASS and watering down the Bill? That’s like reigning in the Gestapo while telling the SS to “Have Fun!”
