ZOMG! Cell Phones Don’t Cause Cancer!

“…no convincing evidence of any cancer connection.”

Despite a recent move to classify mobile phones as possibly carcinogenic, the scientific evidence increasingly points away from a link between their use and brain tumors, according to a new study on Saturday.

A major review of previously published research by a committee of experts from Britain, the United States and Sweden concluded there was no convincing evidence of any cancer connection.

It also found a lack of established biological mechanisms by which radio signals from mobile phones might trigger tumors.

I think it’s time for a big heaping plate of I TOLD YOU SO!!!

Can we please STFU about non-ionizing radio waves now?

When we get a link between cell phones and Global Warming, we’ll get a ton more studies. Peer reviewed and everything.

  2. Joe Huffman says:

About seven or eight years ago I talked to the scientist that ran the tests on the satellite phones with rats. He found an INVERSE relationship between power output and incidence of cancer in the rats.

I’m not sure the results were published. It was funded by the manufacture of the phones but the scientist insisted the results were as stated. He had no idea what the mechanism for that result could be either.

Maybe it was just a statistical fluke but it would have had to be a real long shot because there were multiple groups with each exposed to a different power level. The cancer incidence fell on a straight line negatively correlated with the power.

I asked him to give me the report but he never got around to it. I tried to get in touch with him a year later and he had left the company. I don’t even remember his name now.

Shit, how the hell can the scientific community expect anyone to take them seriously? They piss off money, while inventing data to justify their research. Meanwhile, all of their bone rattling costs me loads of money.

Where’s the “scientist police”? You know, a group of men in white coats with tasers, finding the roque scientists and kicking their asses.
