Agency task force formed to stop payments to dead people

Payments to dead people expected to increase.

The Office of Personnel Management has created a task force on improper payments after an inspector general report revealed that the agency has paid $601 million in retirement benefits to dead people.

Has a government agency ever solved a problem it was created to solve?

Nope.

If the payments are stopped, how are the Democrats supposed to buy dead people’s votes?

I suspect the dead will form a union.

Well, the Resolution Trust COmpany, formed by the feds to liquidate the failed savings and loans that were taken over in the fallout from the Penn Square banking and real estate splat in the 1980s did its job and then dissolved. That’s the only example I can think of in 200+ years. Well and maybe the Soil Conservation Service from the 1930s. Maybe.
