Pay to Play!

80 percent of the Department of Energy’s $20.5 billion in green energy loans went to President Barack Obama’s fundraisers and donors

And “unexpectedly” they all seem to be failing.

That’s like seeing people leaving Walmart with merchandise, and doing a statistical analysis to discover that they all seem to have given Walmart money in the very recent past.

So you’re comparing a voluntary free market transaction to a scheme to enrich Obama donors at the expense of the taxpayers?

I can’t wait for the lefties to start ‘defending’ this one… 🙂

Hey, if Crony Capitalism worked for Putin……but I guess when one is “Fundamentally Changing America,” one should pay attention to how it is occurring before one votes for it, right? Besides, Barry was just following the Old Marxist adage of “Wealth is Theft,” but he was stealing from the Taxpayer instead of the Capitalist Owners of the Means of Production.

Funny how Progressivism/Socialism/Communism usually means the Rich get Richer, as long as the Rich are on the side of Political elite.

Bottom Line: So when Dick Cheney feeds Halliburton, that’s Evil, but when Barry feeds the Greens, that’s Good?

Alan: I’m saying that the only reason “green energy” exists is to trade public funds to political cronies in return for donations.

The only problem with my analogy is that Walmart DOES NOT (repeat DOES NOT) steal their merchandise at gunpoint. But that is not relevant to the analogy. I’m NOT saying the two are MORALLY equivalent. I’m saying they are MECHANICALLY equivalent.

Obama does not legitimately own what he’s selling. But he is voluntarily selling it to a voluntary buyer.

No analogy is 100% perfect. Usually, something matches, and if you look a bit you can also find something that doesn’t. When people make analogies, what they have in mind is usually the matching part, and sometimes, I admit, I use analogies which aren’t 100% perfectly airtight in all dimensions. I apologize for my lack of clarity.

What are the odds that the DOE “green” scam is the ONLY place where this is happening?

Yes, these are posts, not entirely linky-no-thinky. Careful, now!
