I read it back in January, 08 when Larry Correia self published it. I loved it.

It was subsequently picked up by Baen and is now available at Amazon and your local book store. (Assuming it hasn’t sold out – it’s very popular)

If you like your monsters evil and your heros real, then pick it up. You won’t be disappointed.

The story was good. Really good. If the first part doesn’t at least make your eyes water a bit, then you’re not human.

The 3D was done well. No in your face, “Hey look, 3D!” moments.

Highly recommended.

Face it: If your gun hasn’t broken something, you’re not shooting it enough. Or you’re incredibly lucky. But don’t kid yourself that it won’t happen. Springs and extractors are wear parts. That means they wear. Which means they break. Replace them on a schedule.

I’ll take it one step further. If you rarely shoot your carry gun, you’re not doing yourself any favors. Daily carry is tough on a gun. Moisture, salt and dirt build up in the most inconvenient places, which means your gun could (And Murphy says it will) fail at the worst possible time.

Keep parts kits on hand, and shoot regularly. Besides, it’s more fun.
