A second flight was canceled out from under me this afternoon, again blamed on the snow in Chicago.
I suggested to the reservation agent that perhaps it would be a good idea to stop making Chicago a hub since it ALWAYS causes problems. She thought I was making a joke.
Fortunately American was willing and able to transfer my ticket to Northwest for a direct flight to Pittsburgh. Even though it leaves later (7:00 pm) I actually get to Pittsburgh earlier than the flight that was canceled. I’m not sure they would have been so helpful if I hadn’t logged over 70K miles on American flights last year, but I’ll take what I can get.
Now I have another four hours to kill in the fun filled Minneapolis, St. Paul International Airport.
