My attitude toward President Bush went from “Meh” to “Suck” this morning when I read this.
“I readily concede I chucked aside my free-market principles when I was told … the situation we were facing could be worse than the Great Depression,” Bush said.
It was interference in the free market that turned a recession into the Great Depression. If you’re trying to avoid another one, abandoning free market principals is exactly the wrong thing to do.
