The whole point of the Eee is to carry less, so I needed something smaller to carry it in. So I got a Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack.
Smaller than a backpack, but with plenty of room for the Eee and accessories. The Eee, Kindle, cords and cables all fit with plenty of left over room.
With EVDO on the Eee, I can be online and blogging from anywhere.
Hey, nice patch. 🙂
It’s not a manly manpurse until it has mags and knives and flashlights in it.
Well, yeah. That kinda goes without saying.
I have a mag and a knife in my purse. I clearly need a flashlight so I can upgrade to a man purse.
If it has a laptop in it the bag must officially be reclassified as a laptop bag. Unless it’s a backpack.
Does a netbook count as a laptop? I’m not sure.
Me thinks it’s not a man purse.
It’s a tactical blogging bag, or will be after guns and knives are added.

Great bag – love the looks of it – but if I see someone carrying one of these Maxpeditions I know they have a gun, or are trained to kill in seven different ways.
Great for me because I carry a gun too, but I’m not the only one who notices these things.
Do you want other people to know?
My man purse is something much more ambiguously gay and not at all tactical looking. It is functionally tactical (and I’m not gay – not there is anything wrong with it) – but you wouldn’t know it by my bag that I’m carrying a gun and can kill in seven different ways.
I have the mid-sized Versipak. I call it my purse, not man-purse — damned if I’ll mince words about it. It seems silly to load up my belt and all my pockets with crap because it’s not considered acceptable by some people for a man to carry a bag. I’m surprised at how many men there are who are afraid of how they might look — isn’t our side supposed to house the independent thinkers?
