Via Hot Air:
The Telegraph is reporting that Obama is overwhelmed.
Sources close to the White House say Mr Obama and his staff have been “overwhelmed” by the economic meltdown and have voiced concerns that the new president is not getting enough rest.
It’s hard work destroying an economy as large as the US. Keeps you up late.
A well-connected Washington figure, who is close to members of Mr Obama’s inner circle, expressed concern that Mr Obama had failed so far to “even fake an interest in foreign policy”.
No, really? We hadn’t noticed.
The real views of many in Obama administration were laid bare by a State Department official involved in planning the Brown visit, who reacted with fury when questioned by The Sunday Telegraph about why the event was so low-key.
The official dismissed any notion of the special relationship, saying: “There’s nothing special about Britain. You’re just the same as the other 190 countries in the world. You shouldn’t expect special treatment.”
Ignorance and arrogance, what a winning combination!
I’m kinda happy it’s incompetence though. That means there will be an eventual end to this disaster.
Only thing as big as their incompetence is their sense of entitlement to rule.

I’m really not surprised… sigh…
“I’m kinda happy it’s incompetence though. That means there will be an eventual end to this disaster.”
In much the same way that if you were on a 727 and the flight was really rough and all the turns were nasty and unbalanced, and you discover that the aircraft is being piloted by Doofus McSuckerson, recently escaped mental patient.
Oh, there will be an eventual end to the plane ride… but don’t bother reading the emergency instructions. They don’t cover “smoking hole.”
