Or why the TSA will always be made of fail.
The TSA is using the French security model which like all things French is made of fail.
After the disaster that was The Great War, the French decided they never wanted those filthy Germans on French soil again so they built a giant wall.
The next time the Germans just went around the wall.
What the rest of the world learned and the TSA hasn’t is that security isn’t about checkpoints and walls. Security is achieved through flexibility, depth and knowledge.
It turns out that the best way to prevent 911 style hijackings and bombings is to let the passengers stop the terrorists. If you build a checkpoint and create rules someone will always find a way around them.
ALWAYS.
The answer to Islamic Terrorism is to use the distributed power of free people to thwart attacks. It’s called The Militia. Use it.
Concur- because flying is REALLY gonna be a pain in the ass with the new rules… And I can just see the first pregnant lady that gets up inside the hour window and gets face planted… NOT going to be good!
Umm, I think yer being slightly unfair, here. From what I’ve read, the point of the Maginot line was to channelize the invaders, so to speak. That is, make them go around the fixed fortifications, and be met by the mobile French forces. It worked just as advertised. The Germans went around the fixed fortifications, and were met by the French mobile forces, who, well, failed.
