Stuff, things, items, keepsakes, knick knacks, collections, junk.
If you’re one of these people, the hoarders then it’s a real problem.
But what about us “normal” folks?
(heh, normal.)
I’m fairly stuff free these days, and I have to say I really enjoy not having stuff. I like the idea that everything I care to keep fits in the back of my truck.
I used to keep things, just in case. Of course “just in case” never happened and I wound up storing the item(s) for years. Much better to just get rid of it, sell or give away.
So, I have a new system and I’m ruthless. Whatever it is, if I don’t need it now it goes away.
No boxes of old computer parts and cables. No clothes I may wear again “someday”.
If I don’t use it NOW it’s gone.
I am no longer a slave to stuff and it feels great.
What about ammo?
Let’s not get carried away now.
But, but, I might *need* that hP PII-450 someday!
Good for you, Alan! It took me a while to get to that point. I used to be quite the packrat and collector. Plus, I had to own every book I wanted to read and I had to keep it, whether I had enjoyed reading it or not. I’ve finally whittled down my library to five book cases, and once I have a Kindle and can replace them, all those books are going bye-bye. Except for the personalized ones, of course. 😉
The books were hard. The Kindle is what got me over the book collecting.
Spend a career in the military… you won’t have any stuff… sigh…
You are evil and I must never let my wife see this post.
