I don’t do a secondary fermentaion on my homebrew, usually, so if you stack them sideways you get yeast all over. Think I’ll stick with the vertical orientation.
I use them as film clips for drying, snack bag sealers and temporary clamps. Unlike the plastic ones they don’t break, so you only have to buy them once. Kinda wish they could hold together papers, though. 🙂

Holy crap Alan, you’re a lifesaver. I was just bitching yesterday about my stack falling everytime I’d grab one from the fridge.
I think I’ll grab a binder clip from work.
