I’m not usually an ATF defender (especially when you’re as stupid as agent Crenshaw seems to be) but in his defense, it appears to me that he attempts to put the mag in backward, but as the rifle is swung out of view of the camera, he turns the mag around, and eventually gets it right.
That being said, as a former Marine, I have never tried to insert a mag backwards.
Wait, it can be readily converted to military grade hardware? Really? So all the money DOD has been spending on M4 carbines has been wasted. All they need to do is buy a bunch of toys from Taiwan and convert them!
