Real ID – The bad idea that won’t die.

The Department of Homeland Security (cringe) has extended the deadline for states to comply with Real ID yet again.

Take the hint you would be stormtroopers. That pig ain’t gonna fly.

    So … are they going to put the holder’s citizenship status on the ID?

    And is it evidence of a crime at that point?

    Holder ain’t thinking this through very hard. It would be just too bad if tightening DL issue causes Democrat poll numbers to go down.

    You get a choice – database of citizens you can cross-reference the person standing in front of you with despite their non-co-operation, or unenforceable immigration laws. Or both, of course. Me, I can’t stand government databases.
