Satire my ass. It didn’t read like satire at all. He’s just an asshole who thinks his readers are dumb enough to fall for that crap.

I had the exact opposite reaction from Mike W. My first thought was that it was satire, because nobody could trot out that many stereotypes on accident.
My second thought was that, even if it was satire, it was poorly done, and that about a gozillion people are about to convince him he shouldn’t try it ever again.
Oh, I thought it was supposed to be satire, I just didn’t give him a pass for it because it read like the kind of satire that fails because its author at least half-believes what he’s saying.
Either way his claim that it was a success because it “provoked comment” made me horselaugh. He could have accomplished the same result by typing the word PENIS ten thousand times and publishing that.
If you think watching him squirm is fun, let’s see what happens if Breda runs into him at the Gunnie Prom at the end of the month!
Maybe I’m just getting too used to reading this kind of crap, or maybe I really am a dumb, redneck NRA type who couldn’t possibly understand Mr. Heyl’s nuance.
