For once everything went smoothly. I got an upgrade to first class on the flight to Tampa, then the stadium survey wrapped up on time and I was able to catch an earlier flight back to DFW.
The ONLY thing I didn’t like was the Prius that Avis stuck me with. It took me ten minutes to figure out how to turn it on. It’s totally non-intuitive. There’s no key, no ignition switch, just a power button. If you press the power button without pressing the brake pedal first, everything lights up and pretends to be working, but you don’t go anywhere.
The WORST thing about it? Avis called it an upgrade from the mid size sedan I reserved.
Stupid hybrid POS.
