I’m not celebrating the holiday today…
To me, April 15th is nothing.
First off, it’s not REALLY a deadline. Anyone can file an extension and if you’re a Democrat you don’t even have to pay what you owe to the IRS.
Secondly, every paycheck has its pound of flesh pre-removed thanks to withholding. Twice a month it’s bend over time anyway.
Thirdly, I’m crabby because I know that my hard earned money is being used against me every day. Not only am I constantly fucked by the scumbags in DC, I get to pay for the privilege.
So, if you’re one of those 47% of the population that doesn’t pay taxes: FUCK YOU VERY MUCH.
I’m assuming by “taxes” you mean income taxes yes?
Yes, it’s April 15th. It’s safe to assume that “taxes” means income tax.
Gee. I wonder if you’re pissed off. 😉
I share your sentiment.
Gee, Alan…tell us how you REALLY feel! Do you hate me because I get some (of MY) money back?
Christina LMT,
I’ll let Alan speak for himself, but my opinion goes like this…
I have no problem whatsoever with, for instance, the wealthy (at least those who *earn* it rather than play the role of rent-seeker and lobby for legislation that makes life harder for their competitors) who pay a smart tax account to reduce their taxes dramatically, and even in some cases eliminate them altogether…PROVIDED they also lobby hard for the repeal of 16th amendment.
But, admittedly, the number of people who fit that category is probably in vicinity, of, oh, I don’t know, maybe ZERO.
Reclaiming some of your money that’s been stolen by the government is not a problem. Not paying any tax, but voting in these tyrants who want to redistribute other peoples’ money to you, or anyone else, IS a problem.
