Irish scientist makes fuel out of scotch whiskey

This one made me laugh my ass off.

A scientist from County Cork has invented a new bio-fuel made from Scotch which can be used instead of traditional petrol in cars.

After all, it’s SCOTCH whiskey. It’s not like anyone will actually drink it, right?

Speaking about his research Professor Tangney said “This is a more environmentally sustainable option and potentially offers new revenue on the back of one Scotland’s biggest industries. We’ve worked with some of the country’s leading whisky producers to develop the process.”

Leaving the Irish whiskey to drink and the Scotch whiskey to run cars on.

    Makes perfect sense to me.

If you die it like the beer on St. Patrick’s day, it’d be a “green” fuel.

I’d say they’re on to something as long as they don’t start pouring Jameson in gas tanks.

Sacrilege. If you’re going to burn booze for fuel, use something obnoxious, like gin.
What’s next, someone use bacon for something other than eating?

    Well, duh!
Methinks they’re sampling a bit too much of the “raw materials”.

If they’re using that for fuel, then I’m getting a shirt that says “Camry” or “Highlander” on it.
