VERY nice. About the same as my carry gun, except for the Bobtail. Since I shoulder carry the bob isn’t much use to me.
FYI Les, I know you’re kidding, but I must say I’ve got over 15,000 rounds through my 5″ Stainless S&W, and I’m sure I’m north of 2,000 with the Scandium one. I get the reason for not liking MIM…but frankly I don’t see it to be an issue.
Aesthetically I don’t care for the bobtail, but overall that is still a nice looking 1911.
As for the MIM stuff: I have 15000 some rounds through a gun with MIM parts, and have had a total of ONE parts breakage in it. That is pretty good if you ask me.
The bobtail keeps the butt of the pistol from printing against your shirt as badly as a standard 1911. The beavertail isn’t in the same location, it’s tucked down close to the holster.
But isn’t it full of MIM parts that break after 2 bullets are fired? 😉
They are pretty. I noticed them a couple days ago when I was browsing the S&W site. Price isn’t too bad either.
Pretty grips! And that’s about all I’m qualified to comment on. 😉

Tell me…what use is the bobtail if it has a foot-and-a-half of beavertail?….
