Remember how critical it was to pass that bill? Civilization would end if it didn’t pass right away?
It was so critical that our elected representatives couldn’t even be allowed time to read it before voting on it.
Maybe it wasn’t so critical after all.
After pushing Congress for weeks to hurry up and pass the massive $787 billion stimulus bill, President Obama promptly took off for a three-day holiday getaway.
That’s right. The long weekend is more important.
The only urgency was to get that bloated pig passed before it’s increasing stench made even the most constituent deaf representative think twice about voting for it.
It’s like they’re not even trying to maintain the illusion any more.
